When you need to reduce the number of instances that use DASAudit Log or DASO&M Services (formerly Economy Edition), or you no longer use DASAudit Log or DASO&M Services (formerly Economy Edition), this article describes how to disable DASAudit Log and DASO&M Services (formerly Economy Edition).
Precautions
-
Disabling the DAS Audit Log Service also disables the SQL Explorer and Audit feature for that database instance and clears its logs. This action does not affect your running applications.
-
To reduce only the storage costs for SQL Explorer and Audit, reduce its data retention period. For more information, see Manage the DAS Audit Log Service and O&M Services (formerly Economy Edition).
-
Before you unsubscribe from DAS Enterprise Edition, export and save the SQL Explorer and Audit logs locally. For more information about how to export data, see Disable SQL Explorer and Audit.
-
If you have disabled V3 compliance audit for all instances under your account, promptly unsubscribe from the corresponding storage volumes to avoid incurring charges for idle resources.
-
-
After you cancel DAS O&M Services (formerly Economy Edition), all value-added and new features provided by DAS O&M Services (formerly Economy Edition) will be disabled, and the related historical data will be deleted.
-
The Economy Edition is being phased out and replaced by O&M Services. To continue using the service, you must enable O&M Services. You can unsubscribe from the Economy Edition on the Service Management tab of the Instances page to avoid further charges.
Usage notes
-
To disable DAS O&M Services (formerly Economy Edition) and the DAS Audit Log Service for a specific database instance, see Disable O&M Services (formerly Economy Edition) or the Audit Log Service for a target database instance.
-
After you disable DAS O&M Services (formerly Economy Edition) and the DAS Audit Log Service, you can still use the features of the DAS Basic Edition. For more information about the features of the Basic Edition, see DAS editions and supported features.
