Introduction to Using Design Assets Interface Features

The design asset interface provides the following features:

Serial No.	Action	Description
1	Use official design assets	Click Official Design Assets in the dialog box to switch to the official assets panel. Select a design asset and click OK in the lower-right corner to apply it to the associated widget.
2	Use My Design Assets	Click My Design Assets in the dialog box to switch to the custom assets panel. Select a custom design asset and click OK in the lower-right corner to apply it.
3	Go to the Design Asset Management page	Click the icon in the upper-right corner of the dialog box to open the Asset Management page, where you can manage your uploaded custom assets. For more information, see Design Resources Management.
4	Group switching	Click the Group drop-down list to view asset groups. By default, all assets are displayed. Select a group from the drop-down list to filter the design assets shown. The asset groups in the Official Design Assets panel are predefined by the system and cannot be customized. In the My Design Assets panel, groups that you configured on the Design Assets page are displayed in the Group drop-down list. For more information about configuring groups, see Manage groups.
5	Refresh Design Assets	Click My Design Assets in the dialog box, and then click the icon in the custom assets panel to reload all custom design assets.
6	Search for design assets	Enter the name or URL of a design asset in the search box to find matching assets.
7	Sorting Design Assets	Select an option from the Sort drop-down list to reorder design assets. Available options: Sort by Creation Time, Sort by Modification Time, and Sort by Name. The default order is by modification time, newest first.
8	Upload Design Assets	Click My Design Assets in the dialog box, and then click the icon in the custom assets panel. Select a design asset and upload the material. Uploaded assets are placed in All Assets by default and are not grouped. For more information about grouping, see Manage groups.

Design asset and material linkage

The official design assets built into DataV are available in the Materials and Models modules in the Assets panel of Canvas Editor. After you apply a material asset from either module, you can change the associated design asset in the Associated Design Assets configuration on the right-side panel of Canvas Editor.
