Radar scan

Updated at:

The radar scan is a layer in 3D City Builder that shows the coverage area of point targets, such as the service area for a mall or hospital. You can configure its style and data, including the color, scaling factor, rotation speed, brightness, and height offset. This topic describes the configuration items for the radar scan layer.

In the layer list on the left side of the scene editor, click the Radar Scan layer to open the configuration panel, where you can configure the style and data of the Radar Scan layer.

Note

If the Radar Scan layer is missing from the layer list, add the Radar Scan layer. For more information, see Add a sub-widget.

Style panel

  • Search Configuration: To quickly find a specific configuration item, click on the Configuration panel in the upper right corner and enter the item's name in the Search Configuration field. The system utilizes a fuzzy match to assist in locating items. For more information, see search configuration items.

  • The following table describes the parameters on the configuration panel for the radar scan.

    • General

      Parameter

      Description

      Blend mode

The blend rendering mode for the radar scan layer. Valid values: Additive, Normal, and No Superposition.

      Depth write

This switch enables or disables depth writing for the radar scan layer.

      Note

If you enable depth write, this object may occlude objects behind it.

      Depth test

The radar scan layer can perform depth testing when the switch is on, but not when it is off.

      Note

If you enable the depth test, this object may be occluded by objects behind it.

      Scaling factor

The scaling factor for the radar scan. A larger value indicates a larger scan radius. The value can range from 0.1 to 500.

      Height offset

The offset of the entire radar scan area from the ground plane. The value can range from -300 to 5000.

      Sprite animation texture

Turn on the switch to display the sequence frame texture animation style. Turn off the switch to hide it.

After you enable the switch, you can configure the parameters for sequence frame texture animation.

      • Texture pattern: The texture pattern for the sprite animation.

      • Blend mode: The blend mode for the sprite animation texture. Valid values: Normal and Additive.

      • Pattern pitch: Drag the slider to adjust the distance between the sprite animation layer and the radar basemap layer. The value can range from 0.1 to 200.

      • Opacity: Drag the slider to adjust the opacity of the sprite animation layer. The value can range from 0 to 1.

      • Horizontal frames: Drag the slider to adjust the number of columns in the composite sprite image.

      • Vertical frames: Drag the slider to adjust the number of rows in the composite sprite image.

      • Frame rate coefficient: Drag the slider to adjust the frame rate coefficient, which controls the playback speed of the sprite animation.

      Important
      • The frames of the sprite animation must be arranged in a single image from left to right and top to bottom, in full rows and columns.

      • Use small images for the sprite animation to prevent stuttering.

    • Interaction

      Parameter

      Description

      Mouse interaction

Specifies whether to enable mouse interaction for the radar scan.

      Click color

The color that appears when you click the radar scan. This option is available only when mouse interaction is enabled. For more information, see Color picker to change the color.

Data panel

Parameter

Description

id

The ID of the radar scan centroid.

lng

The longitude of the radar scan centroid.

lat

The latitude of the radar scan centroid.

altitude

(Optional) The altitude of the radar scan centroid.

value

(Optional) The scan radius value of the radar scan centroid.

Configuration Item

Description

Controlled Mode

Turn on the switch to prevent the widget from requesting data upon initialization. Data is requested only through a callback ID or a method configured in the blueprint editor. Turn off the switch to allow automatic data update requests. The switch is off by default.

Automatic Update Request

Select this option to enable dynamic polling and manually set the polling frequency. If you clear this option, data is not updated automatically. You must manually refresh the page or trigger data update requests using the blueprint editor or callback ID events.

Data Source

Click Configure Data Source. In the Set Data Source panel, you can modify the data source type and data query code, preview the data source return results, and view the data response.

Data Result

Displays the response result of a data request. When the data source changes, click the 刷新图标 icon on the right to view the real-time data response.

Note

You can also use the layer data API as a block data API to configure more data source types in the data dashboard or to interact with data from common chart widgets. For more information, see One-click generation of block APIs.

If you created your 3D City Builder project in Spatial Data Project mode and the project contains data primitive layer content, you can use the Spatial Build Data Source to obtain spatial map data when you configure the data panel in the scene editor. The steps are as follows:

  1. In the layer configuration panel, select the Data tab. Click the Data Source Type drop-down list at the bottom of the panel and select Spatial Build Data Source.

  2. From the Data Project drop-down list at the bottom of the panel, select an existing data project from the spatial build platform.

  3. After you select a data project, select a matching dataset from the Dataset drop-down list.

    Note

If no configurable data types are available for the Data Project and Dataset configuration items, click Go to Spatial Build Platform to Manage Data in the panel to configure data in the spatial build platform. For more information, see Overview of spatial data management.

Blueprint interaction

  1. In the scene editor, click the Export to Blueprint Editor icon to the right of Radar Scan in the layer list on the left.

  2. Click the 蓝图图标 icon in the upper-left corner of the page.

  3. On the blueprint editor page, click the Radar Scan layer in the Import Nodes bar. The configuration parameters for the radar scan layer appear on the canvas, as shown in the following figure.

    • Events

      Event

      Description

When a data API request is complete

The event that is triggered after a data API request is returned and processed by a filter. The processed data is also returned in JSON format. For a data example, see the Data response area on the Data tab of the widget's configuration panel on the right of the canvas editor.

      Rendering Complete

The event that is triggered when the radar rendering is complete. Data of the object type is also returned.

      Left-click the Radar

The event that is triggered when you left-click the radar. The click position and the raw data item are returned.

    • Actions

      Action

      Description

      Request data API

Requests new data from the server. This action uses data from input data processing nodes or layer nodes as parameters. For example, a radar scan uses the API data source https://api.test. The data passed to the Request data API action is { id: '1'}. The final request URL becomes https://api.test?id=1.

      Import data API

The data is processed in the format required for component rendering, and then imported to redraw the component. You do not need to request server-side data again. For a data example, see the Data tab of the configuration panel to the right of the component in the canvas editor and view the Data Response Result area.

      Show component

Shows the component. No parameters are required.

      Hide component

Hides the component. No parameters are required.
