This topic describes how to activate the Alibaba Cloud Real-Time Communication (RTC) service and purchase a duration plan.
Prerequisites
An Alibaba Cloud account is created and identity verification is complete. To create an Alibaba Cloud account, visit the Alibaba Cloud official website. For more information, see Create an Alibaba Cloud account. For information about identity verification, see Individual identity verification or Enterprise identity verification.
Activate the service
- Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Real-Time Communication page.
- Click Activate Now.
- Select the Service Type, Billing Method, and other configuration items. Then, select Terms of Service.
- Click Activate Now.
Note On the RTC service activation page, the service type, billing method, and service area are selected by default. If you want to activate the service for regions outside China, contact your account manager or submit a ticket.
Purchase an RTC duration plan (resource plan)
- Log on to the Real-Time Communication RTC console.
- In the upper-right corner of the Overview page, click Purchase.
Note Currently, you can purchase RTC resource plans for use only within China.
- Select the Resource Type, Plan Specification, and other configuration items. Then, click Buy Now.
- Select Terms of Service and click Pay.
- Confirm the order and click Confirm Payment.
