This topic describes how to create an application in the console.
Prerequisites
An Alibaba Cloud account is created and real-name verification is complete. To create an Alibaba Cloud account, visit the Alibaba Cloud official website. For more information, see Create an Alibaba Cloud account. For information about real-name verification, see Individual identity verification or Enterprise real-name verification.
You have activated the Real-Time Communication service. For more information, see Activate the service.
Procedure
- Log on to the Real-Time Communication (RTC) console.
- In the navigation pane on the left, click Application Management.
- Click Create Application.
- On the Real-Time Communication (Pay-As-You-Go) page, select Terms of Service.
Option Description Service type The RTC service type is General-purpose by default. Billing method The RTC billing method is By Duration by default. Service region The service region is China by default. If you want to enable the US region, contact your account manager or submit a ticket. - Click Activate Now to create the application.
- Return to the Application Management page to view information about the new application.Note The App ID is a unique identifier that the Alibaba Cloud RTC server uses to distinguish between applications.
