This topic describes how to delete a read replica for a tenant.

Prerequisites

A read replica exists for the tenant. For more information, see Add a tenant read replica.

Procedure

You can start the Add Tenant Read Replica operation from the following three entry points:

Method 1: Log on to the OceanBase Management Console. In the instance list, click the name of the target cluster instance to open the Cluster Instance Workspace. In the tenant management list, click the name of the target tenant to open the Tenant Workspace. Click image in the upper-right corner of the page and select Modify Tenant Resources.

Method 2: Log on to the OceanBase Management Console. In the instance list, click the name of the target cluster instance to open the Cluster Instance Workspace. In the tenant management list, find the target tenant and click Modify Tenant Resources in the Actions column.

Method 3: Log on to the OceanBase Management Console. In the instance list, click the name of the target cluster instance to open the Cluster Instance Workspace. In the topology graph, click Settings in the tenant area and select Modify Tenant Resources.

The following procedure uses Method 1 as an example.

  1. Log on to the OceanBase Management Console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Instance List.

  3. In the instance list, find the target cluster instance and click its name to open the Cluster Instance Workspace.

  4. Click image in the upper-right corner of the page and select Modify Tenant Resources.

  5. Click Manage Tenant Read Replicas.

  6. In the Modify Tenant Resources dialog box, click image to delete the read replica.

    Note

When you delete a read replica, the system automatically cascade deletes the endpoint of that replica in the corresponding zone. Before you perform this operation, ensure that you stop all requests to the endpoint of the read replica that you want to delete.

  7. In the dialog box, click OK to submit the changes.
