Manage the service catalog

Manage applications

1. Log on to the Service Mesh console.

2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Service Catalog.

3. Click the Service List tab, and then click Switch to Application View.

   Note

   If you are already in the application view, you do not need to click Switch to Application View.

   You can manage the Sidecar list for an application and apply service governance rules:

   • Sidecar list

     Click Sidecar List to the right of the target application to view all its instances and their Sidecar injection statuses. For instances with an injected Sidecar, you can restart or take them offline. For instances without an injected Sidecar, click Inject to manually inject a Sidecar.

     • Restart

       1. Click Restart to the right of the target instance.

       2. In the Select Restart Method dialog box, select a restart method:

          • Reinstall Sidecar: Restart the instance by reinstalling the Sidecar.

          • Restart Sidecar: Restart the Sidecar directly.

       3. Click OK.

     • Take Offline

       Click Take Offline to the right of the target instance. The instance is then taken offline. Click Taking Offline to view the process.

     • Inject

       Before you inject a Sidecar, you must create a Sidecar injection rule. For more information, see Sidecar injection rules.

       1. Click Inject to the right of the target instance.

       2. In the Sidecar Injection Rule dialog box, select an injection rule and click OK.

          You can click Injecting to view the Sidecar injection process.

   • Service governance

     Click Service Governance to the right of the target application to view rules for the application, such as service routing, circuit breaking, and service throttling. You can also enable, disable, edit, or delete specific rules. For more information about service governance, see Service governance.

Manage services

On the Service List tab, click Switch to Service View. You can manage the Sidecar list and apply service governance rules. The procedure is the same as that for managing applications.
