This topic describes the maintenance rules for mPaaS baselines. It also provides a list of the latest baselines and their upgrade notes.
The maintenance cycle for the mPaaS client software development kit (SDK) follows the 2-3-6 rule. After a new major version baseline is officially released, the legacy major version baseline:
Stops accepting requests for new features after 2 months.
Stops receiving adaptations for system requirements after 3 months.
Stops receiving bug fixes and security patches after 6 months.
After thorough testing, a new major version baseline is released as a beta version for a period of time. During the beta release period, the mPaaS team provides top-priority support for the beta version. To ensure your application receives new features as soon as possible, start using the new baseline early. The mPaaS team reserves the right of final interpretation of these rules.
HarmonyOS Next versions are updated frequently. HarmonyOS officially recommends using version 5.0.5 (API version 17). You can use higher API versions as needed.
