Configure multilingual management

Procedure

1. Log on to the IoT Platform console.
2. Go to the Human-Computer Interaction page for the product.
3. Choose More Abilities > Multilingual Management.
4. (Optional) Click the Basic Product Information tab to configure other languages for the product and feature names that are displayed in the app.
   1. Select the language to configure, such as Chinese.
   2. Enter the product name and feature names.

      Name	Description	Configuration requirements	Display location
      Product name	The product name consists of three required parts: Brand, Name, and Model.	Supports Chinese characters, English letters, numbers, hyphens (-), at signs (@), and Chinese or English parentheses. The content cannot contain the word "test". Cannot exceed 30 characters. A Chinese character counts as one character.	Displayed in locations such as the device list on the 'To Be Paired' list, the device list on the 'Homepage', and at the top of the 'Device Interface' in the Cloud Intelligence App or plug-ins.
      Feature name	Product features are divided into simple features and complex features.	Configure the feature names and property values as needed.	Displayed in locations such as the feature name on the 'Device Interface', the device feature selection in 'My Smart', and the device feature selection in 'Cloud Timer' in the Cloud Intelligence App or plug-ins.

      Note If you use the Cloud Intelligence App, also note the following for product name configuration:

      • If you have already configured a product name on the Product Display page, it is automatically displayed here. If you modify the name here, the change is synchronized to the Product Display page. For more information, see Configure product display.
      • For product categories such as lights, sockets, and switches, this setting is relevant if the Manually select from product list/search check box is selected on the Network Configuration GuideConfigure network configuration guide.
   3. Select another language tab and configure it. The configuration method is the same as for Chinese.
      Note

      • If your device will be sold in other countries, you must configure the product for multiple languages, such as English or other local languages. Otherwise, Chinese text or inaccurate information may be displayed when a user switches the app language.
      • The IoT Platform provides default multilingual configurations for some product categories, such as lights, sockets, and switches, in self-branded projects. You can use these configurations directly.
      • To configure multiple languages for a self-developed app, see Customize multiple languages for a self-developed app.
   4. Click Save.
5. (Optional) Click the Network Configuration Guide tab to configure multilingual versions of the network configuration guide text for the product.

   Select the tab for the language that you want to configure. Configure the Network configuration guide text, Network configuration confirmation text, and Help guide entry for that language. Click Save to complete the configuration.

6. (Optional) Click the Device Alert Information tab to configure multiple languages for existing device alert rules.
   1. Find the device alert rule that you want to configure and click Edit.
   2. On the Edit Alert page, select the tab for the language that you want to configure. Configure the Alert name and Alert content for that language.
   3. Click Confirm.
