You can add a domain for-sale page to sell your domain names more effectively.
Overview
A domain for-sale page is a value-added service from Alibaba Cloud. After a seller adds a for-sale page for a domain name they want to sell, such as example.com, on the Alibaba Cloud console, any user who visits example.com will see a page indicating that the domain name is for sale. This significantly increases the domain's exposure and helps sellers find buyers.
The domain for-sale page displays a Buy This Domain panel that includes a time-limited price (such as ¥8888) and a Buy Now button. The purchase is completed through a secure, escrow-based transaction, and the service supports multiple transaction types, such as domain backordering, fixed price, and bidding.
Usage notes
-
You can only add a for-sale page for domain names that are listed for sale at a fixed price or with price negotiation under your current Alibaba Cloud account.
-
We do not recommend setting up a for-sale page for a domain name that is actively in use.
Enabling a for-sale page modifies the domain name's DNS records, interrupting any existing services, such as a website or email.
-
You can delete a domain for-sale page at any time.
NoteIf your domain name does not use Alibaba Cloud DNS, you must manually delete the corresponding DNS records from your DNS provider's platform.

Configure DNS records.
-
For domain names that use Alibaba Cloud DNS, including those that end with .hichina.com or .alidns.com: The system automatically adds the necessary DNS records, such as a wildcard resolution and an @ record. The system overwrites any conflicting records. The changes may take up to 10 minutes to take effect.
-
For domain names that use a third-party DNS provider: Go to the management console of your DNS provider and add two CNAME records. Create one record for wildcard resolution (*) and another for the root domain (@), and point both records to overdue.aliyun.com.
Note-
If you successfully add a for-sale page but later modify the DNS records and the page fails to be displayed, you must delete the incorrect DNS records at your provider and re-create the CNAME records to point to overdue.aliyun.com.
-
Due to DNS rule limitations, if the Alibaba Cloud DNS API fails to add the DNS record, you must log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console and manually set up the CNAME record to point to overdue.aliyun.com.
