Add an ApsaraDB for HBase data source

Prerequisites

• An LTS instance exists. For more information, see Create an LTS instance.

• The target ApsaraDB for HBase instance exists. For more information, see Create an ApsaraDB for HBase instance.

• A network connection exists between the LTS instance and the target instance. For more information, see Establish a network connection.

Use cases

• Self-managed HBase clusters.

• ApsaraDB for HBase Standard Edition.

• ApsaraDB for HBase Performance-enhanced Edition (Lindorm).

Procedure

1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for HBase console.

2. On the Clusters page, click the ID of the target LTS instance.

3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Source Management and click Add Data Source.

4. In the Add Data Source dialog box, configure the following parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Instance type	Select the type of the ApsaraDB for HBase instance to add.
   Instance region	Select the region where the target instance is located.
   The ID of the selected Alibaba cloud account.	If you select Associate an ApsaraDB for HBase instance of another account, enter the ID of the Alibaba Cloud account. To obtain the ID, see Manage RAM user information. Important Enter the UID of the root account.
   AK ID	If you select Associate an ApsaraDB for HBase instance of another account, enter the AccessKey ID. To obtain an AccessKey ID, see Obtain an AccessKey pair.
   AK secret	If you select Associate an ApsaraDB for HBase instance of another account, enter the AccessKey secret. To obtain an AccessKey secret, see Obtain an AccessKey pair.
   Instance ID	Select the ID of the target instance. Note Click VPC under the current logon account to select an instance from your current Alibaba Cloud account. Click Associate an ApsaraDB for HBase instance of another account to specify an instance from another Alibaba Cloud account.

5. Click OK.
