Connect Quick BI to your Huawei GaussDB database by adding it as a data source. This allows you to analyze and visualize your data with Quick BI.
Prerequisites
You have created a Huawei GaussDB database.
Procedure
Configure an allowlist.
Before you connect to Huawei GaussDB, you must add the IP addresses of Quick BI to the Huawei GaussDB allowlist.
Test the connection and create the data source.
Sign in to the Quick BI console.
Follow these steps to add the data source:
Go to the Create Data Source page from Create Data Source Entry Point.
On the Huawei Cloud Databases tab, select the GaussDB data source.

In the Configure Connection dialog box, configure the following settings.

Parameter
Description
Display name
The name for the data source that appears in the data source list.
The name cannot contain special characters or leading or trailing spaces.
Database address and port
The public endpoint of your Huawei GaussDB database.
To get the endpoint, sign in to the Huawei Cloud console, bind an Elastic IP to your instance, and then view the connection details.
Database
The name of the database to connect to.
Schema
The name of the schema to connect to.
Username and password
The username and password for your Huawei GaussDB database.
NoteEnsure that the user has create, insert, update, and delete permissions on the tables in the database.
Click Test Connection to verify the connection to the data source.
After the test succeeds, click OK to add the data source.
