Add a user-created Kingbase database as a data source in Quick BI to query and visualize your data.
Limitations
Quick BI supports Kingbase version 7.1.2.
Procedure
-
Add IP addresses to the whitelist.
Before you connect to a Kingbase database over the public network, you must add the Quick BI IP addresses to the Kingbase whitelist.
-
Log on to the Quick BI console.
-
Follow these steps to add the data source.
-
Go to the page for adding a data source. For more information, see Add a data source.
-
On the User-Created Data Source tab, select the Kingbase data source.

-
-
In the Configure Connection dialog box, configure the following parameters.

Parameter
Description
Display Name
The display name of the data source, as shown in the data source list.
The name must not contain special characters and cannot have leading or trailing spaces.
Database Address
The IP address or domain name of the Kingbase database.
Port
The port number of the database.
Database
The name of the database to connect to.
Username and Password
The username and password for accessing the database. The user must have CREATE, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE permissions on the database tables.
Database Version
Only version 7.1.2 is supported.
VPC Data Source
If your database is in a VPC, select VPC Data Source and configure the following parameters:
-
Purchaser's AccessKey ID and Purchaser's AccessKey Secret: The AccessKey pair of an account with permission to access the Kingbase cluster. The account must have at least read permissions for the target instance. If the account has write permissions, Quick BI automatically adds its IP addresses to the whitelist; otherwise, add them manually. For more information, see Create a custom policy.
-
ECS Instance ID: Find the instance ID on the Instances page in the ECS console.
For more information, see View instance information.
-
ECS Instance Region: Find the region of the instance in the upper-left corner of the ECS console.
For more information, see View instance information.
SSH
To connect through an SSH tunnel, select SSH and configure the following parameters:
-
SSH Host: The hostname or IP address of the SSH server.
-
SSH Username: The username for the SSH connection.
-
SSH Password: The password for the SSH user.
-
SSH Port: The port for the SSH connection. The default is 22.
-
-
Click Test Connection to verify the connection.

-
After the test succeeds, click OK to add the data source.
Next steps
After you create the data source, create a dataset to start analyzing your data.
-
Add tables from your Kingbase database or use custom SQL to create a dataset in Quick BI. For more information, see Create a dataset.
-
Create visualization charts to analyze your data. For more information, see Create a dashboard and Overview of visualization charts.
-
Use the drill-down feature for in-depth data analysis. For more information, see Step 3: Configure and use drill-down.
