Log Service lets you reset the global default calendar to override default date attributes, such as whether a date is a holiday or a workday.
For example, if a company has a team-building event from July 24 to July 26, 2024, employees can reset these three days to holidays in the global default calendar. Alert notifications can then be configured based on the updated calendar.
-
A reset overrides default date attributes. For example, if September 16, 2024, is a default
holidaybut you reset it to aworkday, the Log Servicealerting systemtreats it as aworkday. -
If a date is reset multiple times, the latest reset takes precedence. For example, if you reset September 12 to September 14, 2024, to
holidays and then reset September 13 to aworkday, September 12 and 14 areholidays, while September 13 is aworkday.
On the Global Default Calendar page, each date is labeled Work (workday) or Rest (rest day). Reset events appear as blue bars on their corresponding dates. Click an event to view its details, including the time range, edit it, or delete it.
