To ensure the continuous operation of your SMS service when you exceed your SMS resource plan quota, you can use auto-renewal or pay-as-you-go.

Renewal methods

When your SMS resource plan is depleted, the system defaults to the pay-as-you-go billing method and deducts charges from your account balance. This continues until an overdue payment causes a service suspension. Alternatively, you can enable auto-renewal to purchase new resource plans automatically.

  • Auto-renewal: Available only for the Chinese mainland SMS service.

  • Pay-as-you-go: Available for the Chinese mainland SMS service and International/Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan messaging services.

Auto-renewal

After you enable auto-renewal for a Chinese mainland SMS resource plan, the system automatically purchases a new plan and deducts the cost from your account balance. This purchase is triggered when your remaining quota reaches a configured threshold or 10 days before your current plan expires.

  • Auto-renewal applies only to Chinese mainland SMS resource plans.

  • The auto-renewal discount and validity period are specified on the configuration page. For more details on renewal discounts, see Package Pricing.

  • You can enable or disable auto-renewal at any time.

Package purchase page

  • You can enable Auto-renewal Settings when you order an SMS resource plan to configure the low-quota alert threshold and the auto-renewal plan specifications.

  • After you enable this feature, the system automatically renews your plan when the remaining quota reaches the alert threshold or 10 days before the plan expires.

  • If the auto-renewal is successful, the fee is deducted from your account balance. If your account balance is insufficient, the renewal fails. Pay attention to system notifications for updates.

    Note

If the auto-renewal is successful, the fee is deducted from your account balance. If your account balance is insufficient, the renewal fails. Pay attention to system notifications for updates.

DingTalk group

  1. Go to the General Settings > Domestic Message Settings > DingTalk Group Settings page in the console and complete the DingTalk group configuration.

    1. Scan the DingTalk group QR code to join the group.

    2. In DingTalk Group Authorization Settings, authorize the DingTalk group, and the Authorization Status will change to "Authorized".

    3. In Group Members and Role Settings, assign the Administrator role to group members who need to perform repurchase operations.

  2. Group administrators can click SMS resource plan at the top of the exclusive service DingTalk group chat box to view the plan's subscription information and remaining quota, and to configure its repurchase rules.

    Note

If the auto-renewal is successful, the fee is deducted from your account balance. If your account balance is insufficient, the renewal fails. Pay attention to system notifications for updates.

Pay-as-you-go

If you have not enabled auto-renewal, the system automatically switches to the pay-as-you-go billing method when your SMS resource plan is depleted. Charges for messages exceeding your plan's quota are deducted from your account balance until an overdue payment leads to service suspension.
