Corporate bank transfer
A corporate bank transfer lets you add funds to your Alibaba Cloud account using online banking, a mobile banking app, or a bank counter. After you add funds, you can use your account balance to pay for resources. Invoices cannot be issued directly for the top-up amount.
Before you begin
Before you make a corporate bank transfer, confirm that your bank account information matches the identity verification information of your Alibaba Cloud account:
-
If the account holder name matches the Alibaba Cloud account identity verification information, you can initiate the transfer directly. The account holder name is the name of the individual or entity that was used to open the bank account. You can find your Alibaba Cloud account identity verification information in the Account Center > Identity Verification.
-
If the account holder name does not match the Alibaba Cloud account identity verification information, such as when you use a third-party account for the transfer, you must first sign a third-party payment agreement. After the agreement takes effect, follow the steps in this topic. For more information, see Use a third-party account for payment.
If you use a third-party account for a transfer without signing a payment agreement, Alibaba Cloud will conduct further verification. Transfers that are identified as abnormal or risky may be rejected and blocked.

Initiate a transfer
You can make a corporate bank transfer by sending funds to a dedicated account or a non-dedicated account. Alibaba Cloud does not charge a service fee for this process.
Transfer to a dedicated account (automatic crediting)
-
Log on to Expenses and Costs. On the Home, in the Overview area, click Top-up & Remittance. Select the account that you want to top up and then select Corporate Transfer under Top-up Type.
-
Obtain a dedicated remittance account. For your first remittance, click Obtain Dedicated Remittance Account. The dedicated account number consists of the bank account number displayed on your Alibaba Cloud invoice followed by a 9-digit unique identification number.
-
If you need proof of the dedicated account for purposes such as reimbursement, after you obtain the account, you can click Download Electronic Proof Of Dedicated Remittance Account to download the proof.
-
Make the transfer. Use online banking, a mobile banking app, or a bank counter to transfer funds to the dedicated account that you obtained. Verify the information before you make the transfer. If the bank information is incorrect, the funds will be returned.
Transfer to a non-dedicated account (manual claim)
Transfers to a non-dedicated account require approval and a manual claim. To prevent service disruptions due to an insufficient account balance, allow sufficient time for the funds to arrive. The supported accounts are listed below:
-
Alibaba Cloud Computing Ltd., Hangzhou High-tech Branch, China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., account number ending in 702.
-
Alibaba Cloud Computing Ltd., Hangzhou Wulin Branch, China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., account number ending in 901.
-
The bank account for Alibaba Cloud Computing (Hainan) Co., Ltd. at the Haikou Branch Business Department of China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. ends in 888.
-
Alibaba East China Co., Ltd., Nanjing Branch Business Department, Bank of Nanjing Co., Ltd., account number ending in 0490.
-
The beneficiary is Alibaba Cloud Computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd. The bank is China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., Beijing Branch Business Department, and the account number ends in 001.
-
Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Sub-branch, China CITIC Bank Co., Ltd., account number ending in 8294.
-
Initiate the transfer. After you obtain a non-dedicated remittance account number, use your bank's online portal, mobile app, ATM, or a bank counter to make the transfer.
-
Query the transaction record. We recommend using the root account to query and claim transfers. A RAM user can also claim a transfer for the root account after being granted the AliyunBSSFullAccess permission.
-
On the Expenses and Costs console Home, click Remittance.
-
Search for remittance records. On the Remittance page, enter information such as Account NO., Account Name, and Remittance Amount(¥), and click Search to find remittance records. The query returns results only if the search criteria are an exact match. You are limited to five search attempts per day. After five attempts, you cannot initiate more transaction queries for that day.
-
-
Initiate the claim. After you find the transaction record, click Claim. In the dialog box that appears, enter the claim information:
-
Claim to Category: Typically, select Alibaba Cloud Cash Balance Top-up. To pay an ecosystem partnership security deposit, select Alibaba Cloud General Security Deposit.
-
Claim Amount: Enter the amount that you want to claim for this top-up. A single remittance can be claimed in multiple installments.
-
Recipient Account: Select the Alibaba Cloud account to top up.
NoteIf you are an enterprise user with multiple accounts, you can use the administrator account to claim funds for the current account or for member accounts in the organization. If a member account without financial permissions initiates a claim, the operation will fail.
-
Telephone: Enter your valid contact phone number.
-
Upload Bank Receipt: Upload a clear screenshot of the bank remittance slip or an electronic voucher. This document is essential for the financial audit.
After you confirm that the information is correct, click OK to submit the claim. Our staff will review your request. This process typically takes about three business days. The funds will be credited to your account after approval.
If your claim request is not approved or the top-up fails, the requested transaction record will be released, and you can initiate a new claim.
-
Confirm the funds have arrived
It generally takes 1 to 5 business days for the funds to be credited, depending on the bank's processing time. The system also sends a text message notification when the funds arrive:
-
If you transfer to a dedicated account, you will receive a text message notification after the transfer is successful.
-
If you transfer to a non-dedicated account, you must manually claim the funds and wait for backend approval. You will receive a text message notification after the claim is successful.
Check for a text message notification. Then, log on to the Billing Account page. View the changes in your Cash Balance and Available Credit to confirm that the payment has been received.
Go to the Transaction Details page, select a Transaction Time, and set Transaction Type to Funds Added to search for detailed remittance records.
If the transferred funds have not been credited to your account, see FAQ about corporate bank transfers for solutions.
Use funds and request invoices
After the funds arrive, they are added to your account's cash balance and will not automatically pay for orders. You can use the balance to purchase resources or settle bills:
-
New purchases or renewals: When placing an order, select Use Balance and click Pay.
-
Pay for existing orders: On the My Order page, select the pending Orders for Services, Orders for Data Plans, or Enterprise Service Order and click Pay.
-
Settle bills: If you have outstanding bills, the topped-up balance will be used to settle the pending payments first.
The corporate bank transfer amount is a prepayment. An invoice cannot be issued for it directly. Invoices can only be issued for the amount consumed when you make an actual purchase. For detailed instructions, see Issue an invoice.
FAQ
How long does a corporate bank transfer take to arrive?
A transfer to a dedicated remittance account generally takes a few minutes to 1 business day. A transfer to a non-dedicated account generally takes 1 to 5 business days.
Avoid making transfers between 21:00 and 00:00 UTC+8. The funds may be delayed due to bank settlement times.
What should I do if the funds from a corporate bank transfer have not been credited to my account balance?
This may be because the bank transfer failed or you used a non-dedicated account but did not claim the funds.
-
Check the status of your bank transfer. If the transfer failed, take action based on the specific reason.
-
Bank indicates the transfer was returned: Check if the remittance information is correct and initiate the transfer again.
-
Transfer failed during the bank's settlement period: If you make a transfer during a bank's settlement period, some banks may experience system issues that cause the payment to fail. We recommend contacting your paying bank to inquire about the payment status. If the bank confirms the payment has been sent, try searching on the remittance claim page again after about 20 to 40 minutes.
-
Remitter's account is verified with non-standard documents for individuals from Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), or Taiwan (China): If your payment receipt contains "NonResident+" or similar text in the "Transfer Remarks" or "Notes" section, it means your paying account was registered by an individual from Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), or Taiwan (China) using other identity documents. Transfers from such bank accounts cannot be credited directly. You need to apply for a foreign exchange settlement process with the bank before the funds can be deposited into Alibaba Cloud's recipient bank account. For transfer methods from such bank accounts, see How do customers outside the Chinese mainland make a transfer?
-
-
When you use a non-dedicated remittance account, if the bank transfer is successful, you need to query the transaction on the Corporate Bank Transfer Claim page. If you can find the transfer record and can initiate a claim, you can manually claim the funds to your account balance.
-
If you can find the transfer record but cannot claim it, or if you cannot find the record at all, you need to submit a ticket and provide the payment receipt for processing.
What should I do if I entered the wrong dedicated remittance account number and the funds did not arrive?
On the Claim Remittance page, enter the payer's bank account number, the payer's name (the account holder name of the paying bank account), and the exact remittance amount to search for the transfer. Proceed based on the claim status:
-
If the transfer has not been claimed: You can initiate a claim directly on this page to credit the funds to your intended account. For detailed instructions, see Initiate a transfer.
-
If the transfer has already been claimed: Contact Alibaba Cloud technical support for assistance. If the funds have been claimed by another account and may have already been used, the third-party account holder will need to cooperate to resolve the issue.
Why does the transfer show as claimed, but my account balance has not increased?
This may be because you use multiple Alibaba Cloud accounts and the transfer was claimed by a different account. You can log in to your other accounts to check. If you find it was claimed incorrectly, you can initiate a balance withdrawal and then make the transfer again.
Why can't I find the transaction record after entering the search criteria for a claim?
-
The payer's name contains parentheses. You need to distinguish whether they were typed using a "Chinese" or "English" input method. If you cannot find the record, try switching the input method and entering the parentheses again.
-
The remittance account number contains symbols such as hyphens or spaces. If you cannot find the record when including the symbols, try removing them.
For reimbursement purposes, how can I prove that the dedicated recipient account and the invoicing Alibaba Cloud company are the same entity?
If you need a dedicated account proof document, log on to the Add Funds page, select Public Remittance, and click Download Electronic Proof Of Dedicated Remittance Account to obtain your dedicated account information file.
Alibaba Cloud uses Alibaba Cloud Computing Ltd. to provide dedicated accounts and receive payments on behalf of the following affiliated companies. When issuing invoices, proof of affiliation for these companies can be provided. See What do I do if the invoicing entity and the payment recipient are different?
Can an enterprise account receive transfers from a personal bank account?
Direct transfers are not supported. For corporate bank transfers, the account holder name must match the identity verification information of the Alibaba Cloud account. If they do not match, you must first sign a third-party payment agreement. Make the transfer after the agreement takes effect.
