User analysis and audience filtering
This topic describes how to analyze user insights in Quick Audience. The example shows a developer who uses an AnalyticDB for MySQL 3.0 data source and a user tag dataset.
Prerequisites
Your Alibaba Cloud account has purchased Quick Audience.
You have an Alibaba Cloud account from the official Alibaba Cloud website or a Resource Access Management (RAM) user created by an Alibaba Cloud account. For more information about how to create RAM users, see Create a RAM user.
An organization administrator and a workspace administrator have configured the organization and workspace, added your account to the workspace, and assigned you the developer role. For more information, see Management Hub.
Perspective Analytics
You can use an existing user tag dataset to perform a perspective analysis on user tags.
You can also use RFM and AIPL datasets to perform RFM Analytics, AIPL Analytics, and AIPL Flow Analytics. For more information, see the User Analysis document.
You can start a perspective analysis in two ways:
On the Datasets page, click the User Perspective Analysis icon next to a user tag dataset to go to the analysis page.
On the Perspective Analytics page, select a dataset and data tags to analyze.
The following example shows how to perform perspective analytics: on the dataset page, click the User Perspective Analytics icon to open the analysis page.
Navigate to Workspace > Configuration Management > Data Center > Datasets.
Click the User Perspective Analysis icon next to the tag dataset to go to the perspective analysis page.
Select the data tags that you want to analyze. The corresponding chart is automatically displayed below.
For more information, see Perspective Analytics.
Audience Filter
After you create a dataset, you can filter for audiences that meet specific conditions. You can then analyze, push, or download the audience data.
This example shows how to filter an audience from an existing user tag dataset using tag filtering. You can also use RFM Model Filtering, AIPL Model Filtering, and Behavior Filtering. For more information, see the Audience Filter document.
Navigate to Workspace > User Insights > Audience Management > Audience Filter > Tag Filtering.
For more information, see Tag Filtering.
The tag is added to the conditions panel on the right, and the number of matching users is displayed. You can combine multiple conditions using union, intersection, or difference. The default operation is union. To switch between operators, click the union
, intersection
, or difference
icon. You can drag conditions to change their calculation level.NoteIn multilayer calculations, only the outermost layer (the final layer) supports the difference operation.
For more information, see Tag Filtering.
Enter a name and description for the audience. Select a folder to save the audience in and optionally associate a sub-campaign. For more information, see the Marketing Campaign document. Specify whether the audience is public and select the ID type for saving. Click Save to create the audience.
Audience Analysis
You can perform a perspective analysis on a filtered audience to analyze its metrics.
You can also use significance analysis and RFM analysis. For more information, see the User Analysis document.
Additionally, you can download or push the audience data. For more information, see Audience Management and Audience Push.
Navigate to Workspace > User Insights > Audience Management > Audience Management. The My Audiences page opens.
Click Analyze next to an audience to go to the audience analysis page.
On the audience analysis page, in the right-side panel, select the dataset for the perspective metrics. Then, select the tags to analyze and choose a comparison type:
Disable comparison: No comparison analysis is performed.
Compare with entire population: Compares the current audience with the entire population in the dataset.
Compare with audience: Compares the current audience with another specified audience.
The analysis chart appears below. Hover the pointer over a part of the chart to view the number of users in that segment. If you enabled a comparison, the percentage is also displayed.
For more information, see Audience Perspective Metric Analysis.
