This document describes how to transfer your mail service to Alibaba Mail if it is currently hosted by another provider or on a self-managed server.
Order
1. Purchase a mailbox: Purchase the Alibaba Mail service. For more information, see Alibaba Mail purchase process.
2. Create accounts: After you purchase the mail service, assign mailbox accounts to employees. For more information, see How do I create employee accounts?.
3. Migrate email: You can migrate email from your original mailbox to Alibaba Mail. This step is optional. For more information, see Mailbox migration.
4. Switch DNS records: To start using Alibaba Mail, delete or pause the DNS records for your original mail service and add the DNS records for Alibaba Mail. For more information, see How do I set up DNS records for an Alibaba Cloud (Wanwang) domain name to use Alibaba Mail?.
