What is a bargaining domain
The bargaining domain service helps you acquire an already-owned domain name. When you request to purchase a domain name, Alibaba Cloud and its partners negotiate with the seller on your behalf.
Bargaining transaction notes
You can submit a domain name buyback request for only one domain name at a time.
When you submit a domain name buyback request, Alibaba Cloud and its partners negotiate with the seller on your behalf. The information for both parties is kept strictly confidential, and they do not negotiate directly.
The seller can delete or delist a domain name even after a buyback request has been submitted for it.
Bargaining domain transaction fees
Consultation service fee: You must pay a consultation service fee of CNY 1.00 for a buyback request for a bargaining domain that is already listed by a seller. The seller is not charged this fee.
NoteOnce your request is confirmed, it will be processed. If the domain name holder refuses to sell or cannot be reached, you can transfer your buyback request to a different domain name. You can repeat this until a domain name holder agrees to sell.
If your request is not confirmed, it will be rejected. This means our evaluation concluded that your request cannot be fulfilled at this time.
The consultation service fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether your request is confirmed.
Domain name purchase fee: You are responsible for the purchase fee of the domain name. The final amount is the price agreed upon during the domain name buyback process.
Service fee: No service fee is charged.
Bargaining transaction process
The domain name buyback process has four main steps: Application, Communication, Negotiation, and Completion.
Submit a domain name buyback request.
Go to the Domain Trading page and select Bargaining.
Find the domain name you want to purchase and click Entrust Buyback.
Submit the application form with the domain name you want to purchase, your budget, and your contact information.
A domain name expert contacts you to confirm the request.
After receiving your domain name buyback request, an Alibaba Cloud domain name expert will contact you by phone within two business days to confirm your purchase requirements.
The domain name expert negotiates with the seller.
The domain name expert will work to secure the buyback for you and provide you with status updates throughout the process.
The transaction is completed.
After a successful domain name buyback, the domain name expert will manage the domain name transfer to ensure a fast and secure transaction for both the buyer and seller.
Domain transfer time
After you successfully complete the payment, the seller will transfer the domain name as soon as possible.
