Upload a commitment letter for pre-approval
Log in to the filing system, find your In progress order, and click View Details. Upload the letter to the supplementary materials section. This optional section is at the bottom of the materials list.
Official seal and signature requirements
The commitment letter for pre-approval must be stamped with the official seal and dated. If the commitment letter for pre-approval prompts for the legal representative's signature, it must be handwritten by the legal representative (clear and legible handwriting is recommended), or the legal representative's personal seal can be used instead.
Commitment letter title
When filling out the commitment letter for pre-approval, the approval name should correspond to the specific business area that does not apply to your ICP Filing. If you have not submitted your order yet, we recommend leaving this field blank and submitting the order directly. A review specialist will then specify the materials required for your order.
Print and complete the commitment letter
After you fill out the commitment letter for pre-approval on the PC client, print it and stamp it with the official seal. Then, take a photo of the sealed document and upload it.
One letter for multiple requirements
Rules vary by province. We recommend that you submit your order first. A review specialist will then contact you to specify the materials required for your order.
Future commitment letter requirements
If your current business does not require pre-approval but you need it later due to changes in your scope of business or other factors, you must promptly obtain the relevant permits. Then, start a Modify ICP Filing request to upload the permits as supplementary materials. The process is complete once the communications administration approves your request.
