After you complete MIIT SMS verification for your application, the local communications administration conducts a final review. Your ICP filing is complete once the application is approved.
Review times vary by provincial communications administration and ICP filing scenario, typically taking from 1 to 20 working days.
After you submit your application for communications administration review, the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system displays the estimated timeframe from the local administration.
The page also displays important notes. Once your website is live, you must display your ICP filing number. After approval, status synchronization across all systems may be delayed. You must also submit a separate public security filing by logging in to the national internet security platform within 30 days of service activation.
We will notify you of the review result via SMS, email, and other methods.
Review focus and common rejection reasons
The communications administration primarily reviews the following. Applications that do not meet these requirements will be rejected:
-
Accurate filing entity information: The name, ID number, and contact address of the filing entity must be correct and consistent with official records. Inconsistencies will lead to a rejection.
-
Domain name real-name verification: The domain name must have passed real-name verification, and its registrant information must match the filing entity's. Your application will be rejected if the verification is incomplete or the information does not match.
-
Website content matches the filing type: The actual content of your website must match the filing type you applied for. For example, a website under a personal filing cannot contain commercial content. Applications that violate this rule will be rejected.
-
Valid contact information: You must provide a detailed and accurate contact address and a reachable phone number.
-
Content compliance for filed websites: Websites with existing ICP filings must not contain illegal or non-compliant content.
-
Provincial communications administrations may have different review requirements. For example, some provinces require that a domain name be registered for a minimum period or have additional restrictions on personal filings. The specific requirements of your local communications administration take precedence.
If your application is rejected, modify your information based on the reasons provided and resubmit.
Each provincial communications administration handles the review directly. Alibaba Cloud cannot expedite this step. Please wait for the review to complete.
