Activate MPS

Prerequisites

An Alibaba Cloud account is created and identity verification is complete. To create an Alibaba Cloud account, visit the Alibaba Cloud official website. For more information, see Register an Alibaba Cloud account. For information about identity verification, see Individual identity verification or Enterprise identity verification.

Procedure

1. Go to the ApsaraVideo Media Processing product page.

2. Click Activate Now.

3. Select the ApsaraVideo Media Processing Terms of Service checkbox and click Activate Now.

4. On the activation confirmation page, click Authorize Cloud Resource Access, and then click Agree to Authorization.

   Important

   This step creates the AliyunMTSDefaultRole role, which grants MPS access to your cloud resources. If you delete this role, go to the authorization page to re-authorize.

5. Activate OSS.

   Note

   MPS stores processed media in OSS, which incurs storage fees. You must activate OSS to use the service. OSS billing.

6. Optional: Activate other services as needed.
