Enterprise knowledge base

Use cases

Enterprises across industries rely on business logic and analysis paths that reflect their unique characteristics and practices. This domain knowledge is typically consolidated into a proprietary knowledge base. However, general-purpose AI models depend on universal semantic understanding, generating results that are broadly applicable rather than aligned with an enterprise's specific business context.

You can connect your existing enterprise knowledge base to Quick BI. When issuing commands, enable enterprise knowledge base search and specify an analysis path, allowing Q to reference your business knowledge during its reasoning process. This helps Q produce results that align with your enterprise's business language and management logic.

Limitations

  • To use the enterprise knowledge base feature, you must purchase Intelligent Q for the Advanced Edition or Professional Edition.

  • Only an organization administrator can configure a knowledge base in the organization management console.

  • The following types of knowledge bases are supported:

    Knowledge base type

    Name

    Knowledge document

    Local files, Feishu documents.

    Note

Only local files in doc, pdf, xls, xlsx, or csv format are supported. The file size cannot exceed 10 MB.

    Third-party knowledge base

    Model Studio, Tongyi Dianjin, Dify.

Access

Log on to the organization management page of Quick BI. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Intelligent Q > General Settings > knowledge base management to go to the enterprise knowledge base page.

On this page, you can connect your enterprise knowledge content by adding a knowledge document or connecting to a third-party knowledge base. After a successful connection, AI retrieves and learns key content such as analysis paths and content templates, enabling Intelligent Q to provide more accurate, business-tailored analysis results.image

Procedure

You can connect a knowledge document or a third-party knowledge base in Quick BI.

Add a knowledge document

If your enterprise stores business knowledge in local files or online documents, add a knowledge document by following these steps:

  1. On the enterprise knowledge base page, open the configuration page. The entry point varies based on your existing setup:

    • If you have never connected a knowledge base, the enterprise knowledge base page is empty. Hover over Add Knowledge Document and select a document source from the drop-down list.image

    • If you have already connected a knowledge base, the enterprise knowledge base page displays all connected knowledge bases and documents for your organization. Click Add Knowledge Document and select a document source in the Add Knowledge Document dialog box.image

  2. In the Select Document step, choose the type of knowledge document to upload and configure it.

    • If the knowledge document type is Local File, you can click or drag the file to area ① to upload it.image

      Note
      • Only local files in doc, pdf, xls, xlsx, or csv format are supported. The file size cannot exceed 10 MB.

      • To improve recognition accuracy, upload structured data and avoid merged cells.

      • If you upload a spreadsheet with multiple sheets, the system parses business definitions from the first sheet by default.

      • Use the Chrome browser for uploads.

    • If the knowledge document type is Feishu document, configure the following parameters:image

      Parameter

      Description

      Feishu application information

Enter the AppKey and AppSecret of your Feishu application.

The system automatically reads Feishu applications authorized in Office Software Integration. You can select an existing application from the drop-down list without re-entering authorization credentials.image

To add a new application, click Add New Authorization and enter the AppKey and AppSecret of the application you want to authorize.image

Log on to the Feishu Open Platform. On the Basic Information > Credentials page of your custom enterprise application, you can obtain the AppKey and AppSecret.image

      Note

Ensure that the authorized Feishu application has the docx:document and docx:document:readonly permissions. Contact your Feishu organization administrator to add these permissions on the Development > Permissions page of the application settings.

      Feishu document link

Enter the URL of the Feishu document.

Log on to Feishu Docs, find the target document you want to connect to Quick BI, and copy its shareable link.image

      Note

When you get the shareable link, ensure that the People with link access within the organization can read permission is enabled for the document.

  3. After configuring the document, click test connection. After the Connection test successful message appears, click OK.image

    • Content template: Click Learn on the content template card to learn content output templates from the current document. After the process is complete, you can view the details on the content template tab. For more information about the parameters, see Configure Content Template.image

    Note
    • You can also click intelligent learning to have Quick BI automatically learn and extract knowledge of the corresponding types from the document content. If you only want to save the document content without learning, click Done.

    • The learning feature currently supports content up to 30,000 characters.

    • After the learning is complete, you must select the checkbox next to a knowledge type to enable it. After the document is added, the system automatically synchronizes and saves the enabled business knowledge to the corresponding module in knowledge base management.
