Use cases
Enterprises across industries rely on business logic and analysis paths that reflect their unique characteristics and practices. This domain knowledge is typically consolidated into a proprietary knowledge base. However, general-purpose AI models depend on universal semantic understanding, generating results that are broadly applicable rather than aligned with an enterprise's specific business context.
You can connect your existing enterprise knowledge base to Quick BI. When issuing commands, enable enterprise knowledge base search and specify an analysis path, allowing Q to reference your business knowledge during its reasoning process. This helps Q produce results that align with your enterprise's business language and management logic.

Limitations

To use the enterprise knowledge base feature, you must purchase Intelligent Q for the Advanced Edition or Professional Edition.

Only an organization administrator can configure a knowledge base in the organization management console.

The following types of knowledge bases are supported:
Knowledge base type
Name
Knowledge document
Local files, Feishu documents.
NoteOnly local files in doc, pdf, xls, xlsx, or csv format are supported. The file size cannot exceed 10 MB.
Third-party knowledge base
Model Studio, Tongyi Dianjin, Dify.
Access
Log on to the organization management page of Quick BI. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Intelligent Q > General Settings > knowledge base management to go to the enterprise knowledge base page.
On this page, you can connect your enterprise knowledge content by adding a knowledge document or connecting to a third-party knowledge base. After a successful connection, AI retrieves and learns key content such as analysis paths and content templates, enabling Intelligent Q to provide more accurate, business-tailored analysis results.
Procedure
You can connect a knowledge document or a third-party knowledge base in Quick BI.
Add a knowledge document
If your enterprise stores business knowledge in local files or online documents, add a knowledge document by following these steps:

On the enterprise knowledge base page, open the configuration page. The entry point varies based on your existing setup:

If you have never connected a knowledge base, the enterprise knowledge base page is empty. Hover over Add Knowledge Document and select a document source from the drop-down list.

If you have already connected a knowledge base, the enterprise knowledge base page displays all connected knowledge bases and documents for your organization. Click Add Knowledge Document and select a document source in the Add Knowledge Document dialog box.

In the Select Document step, choose the type of knowledge document to upload and configure it.

If the knowledge document type is Local File, you can click or drag the file to area ① to upload it.
Note-
Only local files in doc, pdf, xls, xlsx, or csv format are supported. The file size cannot exceed 10 MB.

To improve recognition accuracy, upload structured data and avoid merged cells.
-
If you upload a spreadsheet with multiple sheets, the system parses business definitions from the first sheet by default.

Use the Chrome browser for uploads.

If the knowledge document type is Feishu document, configure the following parameters:

Feishu application information
Enter the AppKey and AppSecret of your Feishu application.
The system automatically reads Feishu applications authorized in Office Software Integration. You can select an existing application from the drop-down list without re-entering authorization credentials.

To add a new application, click Add New Authorization and enter the AppKey and AppSecret of the application you want to authorize.

Log on to the Feishu Open Platform. On the Basic Information > Credentials page of your custom enterprise application, you can obtain the AppKey and AppSecret.
NoteEnsure that the authorized Feishu application has the
docx:documentanddocx:document:readonlypermissions. Contact your Feishu organization administrator to add these permissions on the Development > Permissions page of the application settings.Feishu document link
Enter the URL of the Feishu document.
Log on to Feishu Docs, find the target document you want to connect to Quick BI, and copy its shareable link.
NoteWhen you get the shareable link, ensure that the People with link access within the organization can read permission is enabled for the document.

After configuring the document, click test connection. After the Connection test successful message appears, click OK.

After the connection is successful, you can view the following information and perform related actions in the Content Preview step.

Document display name
By default, the display name is the original document name. You can customize this name as needed. This name is displayed in the knowledge document list on the enterprise knowledge base page.

If the knowledge document type is Feishu document, its URL appears here. Click the
icon next to the link to open the source document in Feishu in a new window.Area ③
Document learning
After you connect a local file or a Feishu document, the system parses the initial content to identify the types of business knowledge it contains. The identifiable types include business logic, analysis path, and content template.
After parsing is complete, on the Document Parsing tab, the system can learn a specific knowledge type, refining the document content into reusable business rules for your enterprise.

Business logic: Click Learn on the business logic card to learn business definitions from the current document. After the process is complete, you can view the details on the business logic tab. For more information about the parameters, see Configure Business Logic.

Analysis path: Click Learn on the analysis path card to learn the enterprise analysis path from the current document. After the process is complete, you can view the details on the analysis path tab. For more information about the parameters, see Configure Analysis Path.

Content template: Click Learn on the content template card to learn content output templates from the current document. After the process is complete, you can view the details on the content template tab. For more information about the parameters, see Configure Content Template.

Note-
You can also click intelligent learning to have Quick BI automatically learn and extract knowledge of the corresponding types from the document content. If you only want to save the document content without learning, click Done.

The learning feature currently supports content up to 30,000 characters.

After the learning is complete, you must select the checkbox next to a knowledge type to enable it. After the document is added, the system automatically synchronizes and saves the enabled business knowledge to the corresponding module in knowledge base management.

Click Done. After the document is added, it appears on the enterprise knowledge base page, where you can perform the following management operations:

① Switch document type
Switch between viewing local files and Feishu documents that are connected to your organization.
② Search for a document
Enter a keyword in the search box in the upper-right corner of the list to quickly filter and locate a document.
③ View business knowledge
If the system has learned a knowledge type from the document, a corresponding icon appears next to the document title. You can hover over the icon to view learning details in a pop-up window.

You can perform the following actions:

Click the knowledge name (a) to go to the corresponding knowledge management page to view details and manage it.

Click Relearn (b) to go to the corresponding knowledge tab in the Edit Knowledge Document dialog box. The system automatically starts the relearning process.

④ Edit a knowledge document
Click a document name to open the Edit Knowledge Document dialog box, where you can view the parsed content and the learning and enablement status of each business knowledge type.

You can perform the following actions:

① Modify the document display name.

② Adjust the enablement status and content of business knowledge:

Enable or disable a business knowledge type by selecting or clearing its checkbox.

The business knowledge content appears on the corresponding tab, where you can make adjustments as needed. For more information about the parameters for each business knowledge type, see Configure Business Logic, Configure Analysis Path, and Configure Content Template.

③ Adjust the learning status of business knowledge:

If you did not initiate learning for a knowledge type when you connected the document, click Learn to start the learning process for that knowledge type.

If you have already initiated learning for a knowledge type but need to update the content, for example, after an online document is updated and synchronized, you can click Relearn. The system will then relearn that business knowledge type.
NoteYou can also use the intelligent learning feature to have Quick BI automatically learn from the document content.

⑤ Synchronize a Feishu document
If you update a Feishu document, you need to synchronize the changes to Quick BI. You can perform the following sync operations:

Click the
icon to manually trigger a synchronization task and fetch the latest content from the Feishu document.
-
Click the
icon to open the View Sync Records dialog box and view the synchronization log for the document.
⑥ More actions
Click the
icon to access more actions from the drop-down list:
-
a: Initiate learning for relevant knowledge types based on the current document content.
-
b: If you no longer need the document, click Delete. After you confirm the action, the system removes the document.
⑦ Batch delete
You can select multiple documents and perform a batch delete.

Connect to a third-party knowledge base
If your enterprise stores business knowledge in a separately purchased and locally deployed knowledge base, connect a third-party knowledge base by following these steps:

On the enterprise knowledge base page, open the configuration page. The entry point varies based on your existing setup:

If you have never connected a knowledge base, the enterprise knowledge base page is empty. Hover over Connect to Third-Party Knowledge Base and select a knowledge base type from the drop-down list.

If you have already connected a knowledge base, the enterprise knowledge base page displays all connected knowledge bases and documents for your organization. Click Connect to Knowledge Base and select a knowledge base type from the list on the right side of the Connect to Third-Party Knowledge Base dialog box.

In the Connect to Knowledge Base step, configure the basic information for the knowledge base. The required parameters vary depending on the knowledge base type:

Enter the AccessKey ID for your Model Studio account.
Follow the instructions in the image to navigate from the Model Studio platform to the Alibaba Cloud User Information page to obtain the AccessKey ID.

AccessKey Secret
Enter the AccessKey Secret for your Model Studio account.
On the Alibaba Cloud User Information page, click Create AccessKey and confirm the information to obtain the AccessKey Secret from the dialog box.
NoteThe secret is not displayed again after you close the window. Store your AccessKey Secret in a secure location. If you lose it, you must create a new AccessKey.
Workspace ID
Enter the ID of the workspace where the knowledge base is located.
On the Model Studio platform, click the
icon next to the workspace and select Workspace Details to obtain the workspace ID from the dialog box.
Third-party knowledge base ID
Enter the ID of the knowledge base you want to connect.
On the Model Studio platform, choose Knowledge Base from the left-side navigation pane. On the Knowledge Base page, find the target knowledge base you want to connect to Quick BI. Hover over the knowledge base and click the
icon next to the ID to copy it.

Tongyi Dianjin

Enter the AccessKey ID for your Tongyi Dianjin account.
Obtain the AccessKey ID for your account from the Alibaba Cloud User Information page.

AccessKey Secret
Enter the AccessKey Secret for your Tongyi Dianjin account.
On the Alibaba Cloud User Information page, click Create AccessKey and confirm the information to obtain the AccessKey Secret from the dialog box.
NoteThe secret is not displayed again after you close the window. Store your AccessKey Secret in a secure location. If you lose it, you must create a new AccessKey.
Workspace ID
Enter the ID of the workspace where the knowledge base is located.
The Tongyi Dianjin console does not directly display the workspace ID. However, the ID is the same for a given workspace in both Tongyi Dianjin and Model Studio. You can obtain the workspace ID from Model Studio.

Alternatively, you can use your browser's developer tools to find the current workspace ID.

Third-party knowledge base ID
Enter the ID of the knowledge base you want to connect.
On the Tongyi Dianjin platform, choose Data Center > Document Library from the left-side navigation pane. In the document library list on the right, find the target document library to connect to Quick BI. Click the
icon to the left of its ID to copy the ID.

Dify

API key
Enter the API key for your Dify account.
On the Dify platform's knowledge base page, switch to the API page in the left-side navigation. On this page, you can view the knowledge base API documentation and manage credentials for accessing the API in the API Secret Keys section.

Third-party knowledge base ID
Enter the ID of the knowledge base you want to connect.
Go to the knowledge base page on the Dify platform. You can find the knowledge base ID in the URL of the current page.

After filling in the information, click test connection. After the Connection test successful message appears, click OK.

After the connection is successful, you can configure the following settings in the retrieval test step.

Knowledge base display name
Enter a custom display name for the current knowledge base.
This name appears in the knowledge base selection list in the Q chat dialog box. You can name it based on the owning department or its business purpose to help users quickly identify and select it.
Area ②
Retrieval settings
Configure the Top K and custom score threshold parameters to control the quantity and quality of content retrieved from the knowledge base.

Top K: The number of most similar text chunks to retrieve based on the user's query.
The default value is 3, and the maximum value is 10.
-
Custom score threshold: A similarity threshold for filtering text chunks. A higher value requires a closer match between the text and the query, resulting in fewer but more precise results.
This parameter is disabled by default. When enabled, you can manually adjust the threshold up to a maximum value of 1.
Area ③
Test text
Enter test text to verify the retrieval effectiveness of the knowledge base.
Area ④
Retrieval result
Enter test text in Area ③ and click Test. The retrieval results appear in Area ④. If the results do not meet your expectations, you can adjust the Top K and custom score threshold values.

Click a retrieval result card to view the chunk details.

Click Done. After you add the knowledge base, it appears on the enterprise knowledge base page, where you can perform the following actions:

① Disable knowledge base: The knowledge base is enabled by default after being added. Click the
icon to disable it.NoteYou can enable a maximum of 10 knowledge bases simultaneously.

② Edit knowledge base: Click the
icon to open the Connect to Third-Party Knowledge Base dialog box and modify the knowledge base information. -
③ Delete knowledge base: Click the
icon and confirm the action to delete a knowledge base you no longer need.
