This topic describes how to adjust the display settings for your cloud computer on the mobile client, including resolution, UI scaling, graphic quality, and screen orientation.
The examples in this topic are based on the iOS client V7.7 and the Enterprise Edition. If your experience differs from the description in this topic, you may be using a different client or an outdated version. Upgrade to the latest version.
Prerequisites
You have logged on to the mobile client. See Log on to the mobile client.
You have a cloud computer assigned to your account. If no cloud computer is available after you log on, contact your enterprise IT administrator to assign one to you. For more information, see Assign users to a cloud computer.
Adjust resolution and UI scaling
Follow these steps to adjust the screen resolution and UI scaling for your cloud computer.
Connect to your cloud computer.
Open the DesktopAssistant and tap Settings.
Tap the Display tab, and then configure the Resolution and UI Scaling settings.
Resolution: Sets the screen resolution of your cloud computer.
UI Scaling: If apps or text on the cloud computer screen appear too large or too small, use this setting to adjust their size.
Adjust graphic quality
Follow these steps to adjust the graphic quality of your cloud computer.
Connect to your cloud computer.
Open the DesktopAssistant and tap Settings.
Tap the Graphic tab and adjust the settings.
Administrator-controlled mode
If an administrator specifies a display mode in the policy for your cloud computer (this feature requires image version V2.1.0 or later), your graphic preferences are locked to that mode. For example, if the administrator sets the mode to Daily Office Scenario, you cannot change this setting.
End User Custom Configuration mode
You can select one of the following options on the Graphic tab if the administrator sets the display mode to End User Custom Configuration in the policy for your cloud computer (this requires image version V2.1.0 or later), or if your cloud computer uses an image version earlier than V2.1.0:
Intelligent: The cloud computer automatically adjusts the frame rate and graphic quality based on the use case, device, and network conditions.
Best Performance: The maximum frame rate is 60 FPS and the highest graphic quality is Medium. These settings cannot be modified.
Best Quality: The maximum frame rate is 30 FPS and the highest graphic quality is High. These settings cannot be modified.
Custom: You can customize the graphic quality parameters. A higher frame rate and higher graphic quality consume more device and network resources. The system dynamically adjusts the real-time frame rate and quality based on your device and network conditions.
Maximum Frame Rate: The maximum number of frames displayed per second (FPS). A higher frame rate results in smoother motion. This value can be set from 10 to 60.
Highest Graphic Quality: Specifies the maximum visual quality for the cloud computer's display.
NoteThe available options depend on the graphic quality policies enabled by your administrator for this cloud computer. If the current quality options do not meet your needs, contact your administrator to enable more quality policies.
Adjust screen orientation
On the mobile client, the screen orientation can rotate automatically with your device, or you can adjust it manually.
Automatic rotation
Connect to your cloud computer.
Disable the rotation lock on your mobile device.
Rotate your mobile device, and the cloud computer screen rotates to match.
Manual rotation
This feature requires client version V7.7 or later.
Connect to your cloud computer.
Tap the screen rotation button at the bottom of the DesktopAssistant.
NoteAfter you manually rotate the screen, rotating the physical device no longer changes the orientation for the current session. To change the orientation again, use the screen rotation button.
Use floating window mode
On devices that support Picture-in-Picture (PiP), floating window mode lets you easily switch between your cloud computer and other apps. This feature requires client version V6.7 or later.
Enable Picture-in-Picture (PiP) on your mobile device. This example uses iOS.
Open the Settings app.
In the Settings app, go to General > Picture in Picture.
Turn on the Start PiP Automatically switch.
Connect to your cloud computer.
Open the DesktopAssistant and tap Settings.
Tap the Control tab and turn on the Floating Window switch.
If you switch to another app on your mobile device while connected, the cloud computer session appears in a floating window. To restore it to full screen, tap the restore icon in the upper-right corner of the window.
