Application connection methods

Updated at:

AHAS Application Protection supports applications written in languages such as Java, PHP, and Go. After you connect an application, you can configure rules for throttling, degradation, and isolation to ensure system stability. This topic describes the available connection methods.

Table 1. Supported connection methods for AHAS Application Protection

Language

Connection method

Description

Java

Agent integration

If your application uses third-party components and frameworks from the list of supported components, connect using the agent. No code modification is required.

SDK Integration

Includes the following connection methods:

  • Spring Boot/Spring Cloud applications

  • Spring applications

  • Dubbo applications

  • Web applications

  • Custom instrumentation

Kubernetes integration

AHAS and Container Service for Kubernetes share data. This lets you quickly connect applications in Container Service for Kubernetes to AHAS Application Protection.

SAE Integration

For applications deployed on the Serverless App Engine (SAE) platform, use AHAS Application Protection to configure rules such as throttling and isolation to ensure system stability.

Go

SDK Integration

Includes the following connection methods:

  • Dubbo applications

  • Gin web applications

  • gRPC applications

  • Custom instrumentation

PHP

SDK Integration

Connect using custom instrumentation.

Connect Java applications

  • Connect using a Java Agent

You can connect your application using an agent without modifying the code.

  • Connect applications in Container Service for Kubernetes

For Java applications deployed in Container Service for Kubernetes, you can use AHAS Application Protection to configure rules for throttling, degradation, and system protection to ensure system stability.

  • Connect SAE applications

For applications deployed on the SAE platform, you can use AHAS Application Protection to configure rules, such as throttling and isolation, to ensure system stability.

Connect Java SDK applications

  • Connect Dubbo applications

You can connect Dubbo applications to the AHAS console using the SDK to use the application protection service.

  • Connect Spring Boot/Spring Cloud applications

  • You can use the SDK to connect SpringBoot or Spring Cloud applications to the AHAS console and enable the Application Protection service.

  • Connect web applications

After you connect a web application to AHAS Application Protection, you can configure rules for throttling, degradation, and system protection to ensure system stability.

  • Connect using custom instrumentation

You can connect your application to AHAS Application Protection using custom Java SDK instrumentation. This method provides more flexibility to manage any code block.

  • Connect using annotations

You can connect your application to the AHAS console by adding annotations to your business logic to use the application protection service.

  • Connect using the open source Sentinel SDK

You can flexibly switch between Sentinel and AHAS Application Protection by replacing the JAR file in the installation package.

  • Connect MyBatis applications

  • This topic describes how to use an SDK to integrate a MyBatis application with AHAS. Using this integration, you can configure throttling, degradation, and system rules to ensure system stability.

Connect Go applications

Connect Go applications. After you connect a Go application to AHAS Application Protection, you can configure rules for throttling, isolation, and system protection to ensure system stability.
