You can create multiple experiments in the same lab.
If a lab contains a fully launched experiment, you cannot create new experiments in that lab.
Procedure
Go to the lab:
If no experiments have been created in the lab, click Create Experiment in the center of the page.
If the lab already contains experiments, click Create Experiment in the upper-left corner of the experiment list page. From the drop-down list, choose one of the following methods:
Create New Experiment: Create a new experiment from scratch.
Clone from Existing Experiment: Clone an existing experiment. The new experiment has the same configuration and its status is Pending.
On the Create Experiment page, configure the following settings:
Basic Information:
Experiment Name: Required. The name of the experiment.
Experiment Description: Optional. A description of the experiment.
Conditions: Select the target audience, operating system version, and system type.
Conditions are optional only when you create an experiment in a server-side lab. This section is not available for client labs.
Operating System Type: Optional. You can leave this set to No Condition or specify an operating system, such as Android or iOS.
Operating System Version: Optional. From the drop-down list, select Include, Exclude, Within Range, or Outside Range, and then specify the OS version number.
If you select Include or Exclude, enter the specific OS version number in the input box.
If you select Within Range or Outside Range, enter a version number range in the input box.
App Version: Optional. From the drop-down list, select Include, Exclude, Within Range, or Outside Range, and then specify the app version number.
If you select Include or Exclude, enter the specific app version number in the input box.
If you select Within Range or Outside Range, enter a version number range in the input box.
Device Type: Optional. From the drop-down list, select Include or Exclude, and then specify the device type.
Variables: Displays the values of variables across different scenarios. Each row represents a single variable.
Traffic Split: Set the percentage of the lab's total traffic to allocate to this experiment. This traffic is distributed evenly among the experiment's plans. The traffic split cannot be 0.
ImportantThe experiment's traffic split cannot be 0.
+ Add Variable: Click to select an existing variable or create a new one from the drop-down list. For more information, see Variable management. An experiment must contain at least one variable.
+ Add Plan: Click to add a plan for the variables. You can add multiple plans and set different variable values for each one. Each column represents a plan. For each plan, enter a Plan Name and a Value for each variable. An experiment must have at least one experimental plan in addition to the original plan.
Metrics: Select or create metrics.
Add Metric: Required. Select one or more existing metrics. You can also click Create Metric to create a new one. For more information, see Metric management.
After you complete the configuration, click Save in the lower-right corner of the page to create the experiment. You are automatically redirected to the lab page, where the new experiment appears as a card on the far left with its status as Pending.
