Top up for overdue payments
Monitor your Alibaba Cloud account balance to avoid service suspension due to overdue payments. This topic describes how to top up your account.
Background information
Alibaba Cloud resources that you purchase are subject to strict lifecycle management rules. For example, after a subscription instance expires, it undergoes lifecycle actions such as suspension and release. You must renew the instance to extend its validity period. For more information, see Renewal management.
Alibaba Cloud provides service suspension protection. If a pay-as-you-go resource has an overdue payment, you can continue to use Alibaba Cloud services within a specific credit limit or for a specific period. Normal billing continues during the service suspension protection period. The protection credit limit is not the maximum total amount that can be overdue. The system automatically calculates and updates your protection credit limit or period each month based on factors such as your account's website level (L) and historical spending. For more information, see Service suspension protection.
