Basic information verification

Scenario 1: No filing information in your account

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system and click Start Filing.

   Note

   This guide describes the self-service ICP filing process. You can also use the ICP Filing Butler service or request a one-on-one consultation. For more information, see ICP Filing Butler and Filing Assistant Service Overview.

2. Follow the prompts to enter the entity information and internet information service details.

   • Enter basic information for a website.

     On the basic information verification page, in the Internet Information Service Verification section, select a service type (Website or App) and enter the domain name, for example, aliyun.com. In the Entity Information Verification section, select the region, entity type (such as Enterprise), and document type (such as Business License (Individual or Enterprise)). Upload an original photo of the entity's document. The photo must be a JPG or PNG file larger than 200 KB. We recommend adding a watermark that says "For Alibaba Cloud ICP filing use only". Enter the entity name, document number, and document address. Then, click Verify Information.

   • Enter basic information for an app.

     On the basic information verification page, in the Internet Information Service Verification section, select App as the service type and enter the app name. In the Entity Information Verification section, select the region, entity type (such as Enterprise), and document type (such as Business License (Individual or Enterprise)). Upload an original photo of the entity's document. The photo must be a JPG or PNG file larger than 200 KB. We recommend adding a watermark that says "For Alibaba Cloud ICP filing use only". Enter the entity name, document number, and document address. Then, click Verify Information.

     Parameter		Description
     Service type	Website	Enter the domain name for the filing, such as aliyundoc.com.
     	App	Enter the name of the app for the filing.
     Region	Select the actual location of the ICP filing entity. The system automatically applies the rules of the local Communications Administration based on your selection. Note If your specific district is not listed, select a nearby district. On a subsequent page, add a note in the remarks field, for example: "The actual location of the entity is [Your District]. As this option is not available, I have selected the nearby [Selected District]."
     Entity type	For a personal filing, select Personal. For an organizational filing, select the option that matches the organization type on your document. For example: For a corporate legal person, select Enterprise. For a social organization legal person, select Social Organization. For a public institution legal person, select Public Institution. For other organization types, select Social Organization. The entity type cannot be changed after an ICP filing order is created. If you need to change the entity type, such as from Enterprise to Personal, you must cancel the current ICP filing order and start a new application. On the basic information verification page of the new application, select the correct entity type. If you cancel an order, you must resubmit all previously entered information and documents.
     Document type	The document type must match the one used for the real-name verification of the domain registrant. For example: For personal filings by Chinese citizens, we recommend selecting Resident ID Card. For enterprises, we recommend selecting Business License. For private non-enterprise units, we recommend selecting Registration Certificate for Private Non-enterprise Unit.
     Entity's document	If the selected document type is for an organization (such as Enterprise or Public Institution), you must upload the corresponding entity document. For more information, see Required documents for ICP filing.
     Entity name	The entity name must be identical to the one used in the real-name verification for the domain registrant. The name, document type, and document number must all match.
     Document number	Enter the document number exactly as it appears on the entity's document. Note If you select Resident ID Card as the document type and the ID number contains the letter X, you must enter it as a capital X.
     Document address	Enter the address exactly as it appears on the entity's document.

3. Click Verify Information.

   The system validates your ICP filing based on the information you provided and your current Alibaba Cloud account. It also specifies any preparations required before you submit the ICP filing order.

   • If verification fails, correct the information based on the feedback and resubmit it for verification. For common verification failures and their solutions, see Basic information verification FAQ.

   • If the verification is successful, the system displays the availability of your domain name and cloud service, and lists the required documents. After confirming the details, click Next.

4. Click Next.

   The system automatically creates an ICP filing order.Starting from the creation date of your ICP filing order, if the order is not modified by you or approved by the Communications Administration for more than 45 days, it will be deleted. For more information, see ICP Filing Order Cleanup. During the ICP filing period, we recommend that you monitor the order status and notifications. If any issues arise, promptly log in to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system to manage the order until it is approved by the Communications Administration.

Scenario 2: Filing information in your account

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system and click My Filings.

2. In the section listing your filed apps, click Add/Access Other Service.

3. Follow the prompts to enter the internet information service details. For configuration instructions and subsequent steps, refer to the relevant steps in Scenario 1: No filing information in your account. On the basic information verification page, select Website or App as the service type, enter the domain name to be filed (for example, aliyun.com, without "www") in the Domain name field, and then click Verify Information. The real-name verification details for the domain registrant (name, document type, and document number) must match those of the filing entity or its principal.

Scenario 2: Filing information in your account

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud app. On the Console tab, tap ICP Filing.

2. On the ICP Filing homepage, tap Add Website/App.

3. Enter the Basic information. For subsequent steps, refer to Scenario 1: No filing information in your account. On the basic information verification page, in the Internet Information Service Verification section, select Website or App as the service type, enter the domain name (for example, aliyun.com, without "www"), and then tap Verify Information.
