Get started with your cloud computer
Get up and running with Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) Personal — download the client, log in, choose a plan, configure your cloud computer, and connect.
This guide walks you through the basic setup to get a blank cloud computer. If you want to deploy AI applications such as OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, or CoPaw, or set up cloud gaming, go directly to the relevant guide:
Before you begin
Download and install the client
Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) Personal supports multiple clients: Windows, macOS, Web, Android, iOS, and the Alipay and WeChat mini programs.
Go to the Wuying Client Download Page to download the latest client.
We recommend the Windows or macOS client for the best experience. The examples in this guide use these clients.
Open the client and select Personal Edition. Log in with one of the following methods:
Scan to log in: Use the Wuying app, Alipay, or WeChat to scan the QR code on the client.
SMS login: Enter your phone number and the verification code you receive.
For details on login, client setup, and other clients, see Sign in to and configure EDS Personal clients.
Choose a cloud computer plan
After you log in, choose a cloud computer plan.
Your plan determines the cloud computer configuration — primarily the data disk size and your monthly Lingdou allowance.
If you purchased a redemption voucher or code from an e-commerce platform such as Taobao or Tmall, you can redeem a cloud computer directly without going through the plan purchase flow. See Redeem a cloud computer and Lingdou.
In the left navigation pane, click Cloud Computer.
At the top of the page, click Wuying Store.

On the Wuying Store page, switch to the Cloud Computer Plan tab and choose a plan:

NoteSystem disk: Fixed at 60 GiB. Cannot be expanded. If you run out of system disk space, move personal data to the data disk.
Data disk: Cannot be expanded directly. To get a larger data disk, upgrade your plan. See How to upgrade your cloud computer plan.
Public bandwidth: Fixed at 10 Mbps for all Personal Edition cloud computers. To increase bandwidth, see How to upgrade network bandwidth.
Lingdou: Lingdou is the unit that measures cloud computer runtime — think of it as a time currency. While your cloud computer is on, it consumes a certain number of Lingdou per hour depending on the running mode. Your Lingdou allowance resets monthly based on your plan. For details, see Wuying Credits.
For full pricing details, see Plan configurations and pricing.
Select a purchase method:
Auto-renewal: Automatically renews monthly, quarterly, or yearly at a discounted price.
One-time purchase: Pay once for a fixed period with no automatic renewal.
ImportantUsage is gated by both the billing cycle and your monthly Lingdou allowance.
If you exhaust your Lingdou for the month, the cloud computer cannot start even if your plan is still active. Wait for next month's reset or purchase a Lingdou pack for more.
If your plan expires, the cloud computer cannot start even if you have remaining Lingdou. Renew the plan to continue.

Click Order Now and complete the payment.
Configure the cloud computer
After your first plan purchase, configure the cloud computer.
Open the configuration page:
On the Order Successful page after payment, click Configure Cloud Computer.
On the Cloud Computer page, find the new cloud computer card and click Configure Now.

Enter a Cloud Computer Name and select a Preferred Location, then click OK.
ImportantThe preferred location cannot be changed later. The system deploys your cloud computer to the nearest data center based on your selection.
Select Windows Server 2022 as the operating system, then click Next.
Select a running mode, then click Next.
NoteThe running mode sets the compute resources (vCPU and memory) for each session — think of it as a performance tier. You can switch modes each time you start the cloud computer. Each mode consumes a different number of Lingdou per hour:
Economy (4 vCPU / 8 GiB): Web browsing, basic office work. 4 Lingdou/hour.
Smooth (8 vCPU / 16 GiB): Multitasking, light design. 8 Lingdou/hour.
Performance (16 vCPU / 32 GiB): Development, design, video editing. 16 Lingdou/hour.
Esports (12 vCPU / 46 GiB + 11 GiB VRAM): AAA gaming. 60 Lingdou/hour.
For the full rate table, see Cloud computer consumption rates.
If you need to run GPU-intensive workloads — AAA games, 3D rendering, or large model inference — you must select Esports mode. The other modes have no dedicated GPU and may cause poor performance or errors.
Select applications to pre-install, then click Complete Configuration.
Wait for the configuration to finish. This typically takes a few minutes.
Connect to the cloud computer
After configuration completes, the cloud computer card shows a status of Running. You can now connect.
On the Cloud Computer page, find your cloud computer card and click the Connect icon.
NoteOn the first attempt you may see: Failed to connect. This cloud computer has been released by the IT administrator. This usually means the cloud computer is still starting. Click Refresh in the upper-right corner of the Cloud Computer page, wait a moment, then try Connect again.
Once connected, you see the cloud computer desktop and can use it just like a local PC. For usage tips, see Cloud computer usage overview.
The cloud computer consumes Lingdou while running. Shut down or hibernate when you are done to conserve Lingdou. See Save Lingdou — shut down or hibernate below.
What's next
Install applications
Once connected, install applications just as you would on a local computer:
Download an installer from the application's official website in the browser and run it.
NoteSome applications and games require a dedicated GPU and drivers. If you encounter issues, switch to Esports mode.
Cloud computers do not support nested virtualization. Some applications that depend on virtualization technology (such as emulators) cannot be installed or used. For details, see Does the cloud computer support nested virtualization? in the FAQ.
During initial configuration, you can select common software on the Pre-installed Applications page. They install automatically when configuration completes.
Connect peripherals (USB drives, printers, cameras, controllers)
When you plug a peripheral into your local computer, the Wuying client detects it and maps it to the cloud computer automatically. For supported device types, mapping methods, and troubleshooting, see Peripheral FAQs.
Save Lingdou — shut down or hibernate
The cloud computer consumes Lingdou every hour it runs. If you are stepping away briefly and want to preserve your desktop state, use Hibernate rather than shutting down: hibernation does not consume Lingdou, and waking up restores your session instantly without reopening applications.

Manual shutdown/hibernation: On the Cloud Computer page, find the cloud computer card, click Power, then select Hibernate or Shut Down. Save your files before shutting down.
Auto shutdown/hibernation: By default, the cloud computer hibernates automatically 10 minutes after disconnection. To change this, click Manage, go to the Policy page, toggle Scheduled Shutdown/Hibernation upon Disconnection, and adjust the wait time and action.
Wake from hibernation/shutdown: On the Cloud Computer page, find the card, click the
icon, then select a running mode.
Upgrade your plan or bandwidth
To get more storage or faster internet, upgrade your plan or bandwidth. See How to upgrade your plan or bandwidth.
